![]() The hearts around Korsica were more subtle, but they put a very clear and scripted line in there just to avoid it being a random surprise.Īgain, I'm not arguing that it's a great setup or they're the best pairing together, I'm just saying that it wasn't just that single moment with nothing else before it. It's only out of the blue if you shut your eyes and ears and pretend the earlier things didn't happen. I'd agree it was out of the blue if not for the fact that they pretty clearly hinted at it earlier with her awkward reaction to the compliment. They could have easily given us more bits of the Vorsica and Peppermint thing earlier, so that it doesn't feel like a shipping kill situation when it's shown they're something AFTER the game ends. It's not that they should, just how its presented to us. Viewers will always expect them to be a potential thing in this kind of story. You have the banter between the leading guy and girl throughout the game, and he's also the main one to cheer her up before the final boss. ![]() My main issue with it is that it's a last minute thing and from a writer's perspective, this is something extremely dumb to do, with how the game is written prior to this scene. We don't know how Peppermint reacts to compliments, like the other anon said. She's not impressed by any of the executives. >I'll agree it's not flirty on Korsica's part, but Peppermint is also an adult, and would probably have authority over Korsica if her and her brother weren't trying to kill each other. And when was she stuck underground and incredibly lonely to the point she made a cat? She explains the cat as being used for surveillance.
